Get ready to be bathed in an aura of artistic expression that will force you to twist your mind and body out of their comfort zone. Pi Dance Theatre is presenting another installment Urban Grove Dancing at Madison Avenues Bamboo Atrium.

This year performances question existence and the strength of the human spirit. "Remaining Vertical," a piece choreographed by Toni Taylor and Company, considers how humanity continues to push the boundaries and limits of their mortal reality in the face of all obstacles and the notion of capricious gods who sometimes save us and sometimes don't.  Through the passion of moving poetry, this piece will showcase the essence of the human soul and the need to stand, or "Remain Vertical" at all costs.

Another performance, titled "Road To Through From," also choreographed by Toni Taylor examines how we move from one place to another, both on a physical, literal plane and also on a spiritual, inner level.

In a similar vein, "Transformation," choreographed and performed by Tomomi Imai is a duet between piano and dance that investigates and opens up the space between the reality of life on a tangible sector and spirit on a metaphysical surface.

The last piece "If Wishes" questions the supposed limits of limitations.  Are they real or simply illusions and tricks of the mind?  And how do we overcome them to live a truer existence?

Performers include Hannah Seidel, Chriselle Tidrick, and Tomomi Imai
