Coincidentally everything synches up to the perfect aesthetic moment. Coincidence was created as a problem solver. We needed a new piece, couldn't get dancer schedules to coordinate in a short amount of time. So dancers individually developed 3 phrases of unique material that Taylor then gently arranges into a coherent order, resulting in choreographic sparks across the stage. Pi Dance Theatre was formed in New York City in 1990 by its founder and artistic director, Toni Taylor. PDT has had ongoing seasons in a number of New York City venues as well as well as New Britain, CT, Philadelphia, PA, and Jersey City, NJ. |
