Director Peter Bogdanovich has created a legendary film tracking the history of “Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers” throughout the ages. The film tracks Petty’s demanding encounters with the record industry to his creative collaborations with renowned artists such as Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, Roger McGuinn, and the Traveling Wilbury’s.

Bogdanovich examines the rock music industry and Petty’s life with an apt sensitivity that delves below the surface of façade. Contained within the layers of storytelling in this motion picture is rare concert footage from Petty and The Heartbreaker’s epic journeys taking the audience on a rollercoaster ride from Florida bars to "The Top of the Pops" to major stadium appearances. This film makes it possible for the public, at long last, to share in Petty’s explorations, pitfalls, rise to stardom, and, in the process begin “Runnin down their own dream.”

The premiere will be held October 15th, 2007 at New York’s Landmark Sunshine Cinema at 7 pm.
