The New York Korean Film Festival, now in its seventh year, will be significantly larger this year. Running from August 21st to September 2nd, the festival will be held mainly in three locations; the Cinema Village, the IFC Center and the BAM cinematek at BAM Rose Cinemas.

Screening 15 contemporary films from Korea and hosting a 5-film retrospective of master director Im Kwon-taek, the New York Korean Film Festival plans on making it's mark on The Big Apple.

Also included in this year's festival is Korean Horror Day, a collection of 7 films presented by Tartan Asia Extreme. There will also be a short film festival, panels, discussions, filmmaker appearances and various parties that are scheduled to take place throughout the program.

More information about specific titles or about the film festival in general can be found at koreanfilmfestival.org.
