Genre-bending jazz vocalist Kendra Shank has been recognized by Jazz Times as "one of New York's most original performers." Her new album, "A Spirit Free: The Abbey Lincoln Songbook" pays tribute to the important jazz vocalist/composer with creative arrangements, and strong instrumental work by her longtime band, as well as Shank's powerful vocal performance.
