Schedule: Tuesday, July 22nd at 3pm Wednesday, July 23rd at 3pm ********** Fuel (absurd comedy) Written by Joseph Beck Running Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes President Bush is called from his ranch in Crawford, Texas to an emergency energy summit with OPEC officials at a secret location in Texas. The President is hopeful for a resolution to America's current energy crisis. Just before he leaves for the summit, he receives encouraging news and not a moment too soon: A sharply divided Senate has voted to open the ecologically rich Alaska Wildlife Refuge to drilling. The news is a major energy policy-win for the President because it represents a bargaining chip with OPEC officials at the summit. But just when it looks like George can use his clever negotiating skills to sail to victory, the proverbial rug is pulled out from under him. United States Senator Hanford Drake and his staff have returned to his family's estate to work on damage control because of a scandal. After Drake tells his wife, Sarah, that he wants a divorce, she discovers that he has been having a 20-year affair with his best friend, Lake. Sarah has gone to the press and told them of the affair but Hanford and his staff have not yet responded to the accusations. Elise, Tom, and Wilson are the staff members who have joined Lake and the Senator at his mother's house. The Senator is running for re-election, so they must decide whether he should publicly establish his new gay image or return to his settled married life in order to win the election. Weiss Presented by Phil's Literary Works Featuring: Isaac Scranton, Tobi Kanter*, Phillip W. Weiss It is the year 2003. Moishe is an Israeli Jew, Mohammed a Palestinian Arab. In a free-wheeling, no-holds-barred discussion, sparks fly as both men hurl charges and countercharges at each other, each blaming the other side for causing the Arab-Israeli conflict. Although both men offer frank and compelling arguments, neither is willing to make concessions. Can their political differences ever be resolved? Can the chasm that separates them ever be bridged? Or is their debate a mere smoke-screen that conceals deeper, more painful and profoundly more troubling personal resentments that form a web of mutual hate? Tendler Running time: 60 minutes A new musical for family audiences, featuring the beloved characters Raggedy Ann & Andy! Using the music of the great composer Joe Raposo (“It’s Not Easy Being Green,” “Sing,” etc.) and a classic story of friendship and self -discovery, this show raises the issue of childhood obesity and how it affects our children. Musical direction by Henry Aronson (Cry-Baby, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular) and arrangements by Joe Gionano (Paul Taylor Dance Company, major symphony orchestras). Performances will be followed by a talk-back with the cast and crew.
