One of the more somber moments exemplified on stage
"I And Me & You and I," a unique theatrical production that combines Japanese culture through the lens of modernity and the universal human struggle to connect in an isolating era, is premiering in English for a limited engagement.

This limited off Broadway Engagement, written by Michi Yamamura and directed by Mahayana Landowne, is a play about two women from different walks of life. One is a middle-aged, pretentious banker at her wits end. The other, a young, somewhat ditzy but good-natured stripper.

As the two women struggle with the extraordinary circumstances that bring them together, a comic and touching tale unfolds that speaks eloquently to the gap between generations and questions the validity of ageism while providing exquisite insight into the current culture of Japan.

This distinctive play has been presented twice in Japan to rave reviews and will now be presented in English for the first time at the Off-Broadway theatre complex, The Theatres at 45 Bleecker.
