Modern day Don Drapers and Peggy Olsons from all over the United States will be headed to the Times Square area from October 1-5 for the ninth annual Advertising Week.

With its primary venue the New York Times Center on West 43rd Street, Ad Week, held each year in New York City, is one of the worlds largest gatherings of marketing and communications leaders, With more than 200 distinct events held in such diverse venues as the Plaza Hotel, the New York Public Library and the BB King Jazz Club, Ad Week is a hybrid of leadership seminars featuring some of the industry's best and brightest, and engaging special events designed to galvanize targeted constituencies.

First inspired by the creative side of the industry in 2004, Ad Week now draws from the client, media and broader cultural communities, with a focus on key business drivers which shape and influence the global industry.

Measured by breadth, scope and impact, Ad Week seeks to transcend standard industry conferences and focus on key industry challenges like talent and diversity via GeneratioNext and Advertising Futures

Ad Week's mission is to galvanize the industry by creating an entertaining, enlightening and engaging platform for all parts of the business. it is also a tangible force serving as the primary catalyst to create New York City's first public high school dedicated to advertising and media: the High School for Innovation, Advertising & Media in Canarsie, Brooklyn.

Ad Week receives no public or private subsidies or industry grants – it is a self-sustaining enterprise, privately funded by Corporate Partners led by AOL, AT&T, Billboard, Clear Channel, Electronic Arts, Facebook, Kodak, Microsoft, NBC Universal, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Panasonic, and other supporters like Aerva, ContextWeb, GE, Interpublic, Johnson & Johnson and USA Today.
