In celebration of Marilyn Monroe's 86th birthday, Madame Tussauds New York will feature the blonde bombshell's wax figure in its lobby on Thursday, May 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Madame Tussauds New York (234 W. 42nd Street between Seventh & Eighth Avenues) and unveil a one-of-a-kind 8 x 4 foot portrait made from 2,100 bite sized stuffed cupcakes by Baked by Melissa. The specially-created portrait will depict the iconic image of Monroe standing on a subway grate as her white dress is blown above her knees by a passing train.

Following the unveiling, Monroe's wax likeness will be on display in the lobby of the famed Times Square attraction and available for photo-ops throughout the weekend. Monroe's figure is dressed in one of her most memorable outfits, her red sequined dress, made famous by her role in the 1953 classic film, "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes."

Baked by Melissa has become famous in New York for their signature gourmet mini cupcakes which will be used to recreate the iconic scene of Monroe standing atop a subway grate from the 1955 classic "The Seven Year Itch."

As part of the festivities, Madame Tussauds New York is also encouraging guests to wish Marilyn a Happy Birthday! Guests who follow and tweet @nycwax and @MarilynMonroe using the hash-tag, #HappyBirthdayMarilyn have a chance to win a Marilyn Prize Pack. Four winners will be randomly selected from eligible tweets on June 4th. Each prize pack will include Marilyn collector's items and four tickets to Madame Tussauds New York.
