Former Horned Frog and American Idol contestant Tim Halperin held a concert in Times Square on Friday night after he submitted his original song "The Last Song" to the "Bands Against Bullying" competition sponsored by OnStage.com.

Halperin was announced as the winner last over a week ago that his submission was chosen out of the over 600 entries.

Halperin said he wrote the song during his senior year at TCU. He said he wrote the song at a point in his life when he had finally gotten over a heartbreak, and was finally ready to move on.

Friday night's concert was a invitation for all in attendance to show support against bullying, and show individuals that it's okay to speak out against it, and not to be a victim of it.
