5. NBC Experience Store/Studio Tours 30 Rockefeller Plaza (49th St. btw. 5th & 6th Aves) Behind-the-scenes tour of NBC Studios, including Saturday Night Live, Dateline NBC.

6. Toys "R" Us Times Square (1514 Broadway at 44th St.) Sixty-foot Ferris wheel, two-story Barbie dollhouse, 20-foot animation dinosaur, Lego skyline.

7. Gray Line New York Tours (777 8th Ave btw. 47th & 48th Sts.) Gray Line offers a variety of sightseeing tour options and combinations to see the city. There are bus tours by day and night that go to uptown, downtown and all over the borough. Joint combo with Circle Line cruises offers helicopter flights, museum admittance, and guided visits of sights.

8. Central Park Zoo/Tisch Children's Zoo (830 5th Ave at 64th St. just inside Central Park) Small in size, the zoo is kid-friendly, with lots of well-written and illustrated placards that older kids can understand.

9. Virgin Megastore (1540 Broadway at 45th St.) Two levels of domestic and imported CDs and cassettes, lots of listening posts, video department, bookstore, a café, and a multiplex movie theater.

10. MTV Studios (1550 Broadway inside and outside) MTV TRL (Total Request Live) Show Live. Get noticed and broadcast on weekdays at 5pm.

11. Rockefeller Center (Between 48th & 50th Streets, from Fifth to Sixth Ave.) Many shops and tours--ride to the top as well.

12. Top of the Rock Observation Deck (30 Rockefeller Plaza) Recently re-opened to the public for the first time in 20 years, the 67th-70th floor observation deck in world-famous Rockefeller Center offers broad, unobstructed open-air views of New York City.

13. Museum of Modern Art Stores (two stores on 53rd St.--the book store at 11 W. 53rd and the design store at 44 W. 53rd) Perfect place to buy sophisticated gifts, a store branch of MoMA.

14. The Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center (btw 47th and 50th Sts. and 5th and 7th Ave.) Located in the center of the complex of buildings, the rink is open from mid-October to mid-March, and skating is open during December.

15. Radio City Music Hall (1260 Avenue of the Americas) One of the largest indoor theaters, with 6,200 seats. The theater is home to the annual Christmas Spectacular, starring the Rockettes

16. The International Center of Photography (1133 Avenue of the Americas at 43rd St.) A museum, a school, and center for photographers and photography, the ICP expresses the importance of photography in contemporary culture.

17. The Museum of Television and Radio (25 W. 52nd St. at 5th-6th Aves.)
Aims to preserve television and radio programs and advertisements to make them available to the public. The museum hosts exhibitions, screenings and listening series, seminars, and education classes. You can reserve a spot in the library where you can view virtually anything that has ever appeared on TV or the radio.

18. Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum (Pier 86 Hudson River at 46th St.)
This 900-ft-long aircraft carrier, has seven decks, four theme halls and aircraft collection. A walk through Concorde's narrow cabin to peer into the cockpit where pilots broke the sound barrier over the Atlantic.

19. Whitney Museum of American Art at Altria (120 Park Ave. across from Grand Central) The branch here supports contemporary artists in the visual arts, including video, electronic media, performance, architecture and design. It produces Performance on 42nd, an ongoing series of free music, dance, theater, and performance art.

20. New Victory Theater (209 W 42nd Street) The New Vic attracts people of all ages for its 11 seasonal productions of theater, dance, music, puppetry, new vaudeville and circus arts from around the world.

21. Hard Rock Café (1501 Broadway btw. 7th Avenue and Broadway)
This is the place to be if you like rock and can party like a rock star. Its walls are decorated with memorabilia from rock legends such as the Beatles, Nirvana, Billy Joel, and Elvis Presley. Hard Rock Café New York features a restaurant, its Rock Shop and a Live concert stage for performances and special events.

22. ESPN Zone (1472 Broadway and 42nd St.)
Featuring state of the art interactive arcade games, the Zone is a sports fan's dream come true. The menu is mostly burgers, steaks, chops, and ribs, and the portions are huge, but the most importantly the food is good.

23. Planet Hollywood (140 West 57th Street btw. 6th and 7th Avenues)
a touch of Hollywood combined with all American food is at the core of this themed restaurant. Centered around the world of Hollywood, the place is filled with celebrity and movie memorabilia.

24. NBA Store (666 5th Avenue at 53rd Street)
Features a half-court and bleachers for player appearances, and multimedia attractions that capture moments from NBA and WNBA games over the last 50 years; there's a monitor broadcasting current games as well.

25. Marriott Marquis Hotel (1535 Broadway)Home of The View, New York City's only revolving rooftop restaurant--newly reopened.
