Fringe Festival hits get a second chance with 80 performances of 12 shows at the FringeNYC Encore Series.

The 200-plus shows staged yearly at the New York International Fringe Festival are much more than even the most devoted theatergoer can handle. Generally, most attendees will only see a small portion of the shows, and not always the very best ones at that.

Now in its second year, the FringeNYC Encore Series gives theater lovers a second chance at seeing some of the Festival's favorite shows. Many of these shows showcase both innovative ideas, new talent getting media attention, and established personalities trying out new ideas in different formats.

Beginning August 30th, 12 works will be presented in rotating repertory at two downtown venues: Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam St. between 6th Ave & Varick) and The Bleecker Street Theater (45 Bleecker St. at Lafayette St.).

The FringeNYC Encores Series showcases some of the best and most crowd-pleasing shows from the New York International Fringe Festival, most of them coming straight from their sold out runs. Find out more at fringenyc-encoreseries.com.
